Our Lady of Mercy School of Quezon City (OLMS) recognizes its duty to secure personal information it handles and to hold information which it reasonably needs to effectively discharge its function as an educational institution. It is the policy of the School to keep certain information including written records, video images, recordings about its employees, students and stakeholders. By enrolling at OLMS, you expressly acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to all the terms of this Privacy Statement as stated below and as may be modified from time to time as required by the National Privacy Commission without prior notice to you. OLMS collects various personal data from applicants, students, parents or authorized representatives during application for admission and enrollment. These includes personal and contact information, family background, photographic and biometric data, recommendation forms, student’s health records and legal documents. The collected personal information will be used to process application for admission or enrollment, to verify authenticity of student records and documents, to determine academic performance, to post academic and non-academic achievements within the OLMS premises and/or its official website and social media accounts and to support synchronous learning via video conference so that teachers and students can interact face to face. Personal data under the custody of OLMS shall be disclosed only to authorized recipients of such data. Otherwise, we will share your personal data with third parties, other than your parents and/or guardian on record for minors, only with your consent, or when required or permitted by our policies and applicable law. The student’s information shall be retained for as long as necessary. When personal data is no longer needed, we take steps to securely destroy such information. You have the right to be informed, object to processing, access and rectify, personal data, including, any such information held by third parties, with whom OLMS have a data sharing agreement.
